So, the HI VIS SOFTSHELL WORK JACKET is a really nice jacket. It's light weight and non-bulky but still really warm. I am located in the Seattle area where it doesn't really get to cold, we can see some temps as low as the low 20's but typically winters are in the 30's and 40's. This coat has been handling these temps along with the rain just fine.
Pros : Great fit (size up from what you normally wear) and comfortable. Looks cool, I have had lots of compliments on how nice this jacket looks. Pockets are plenty and very useful, they are sized for actually holding items you need for work. I have only worn this for a couple weeks now but it seems to be well made, sturdy and handles the Seattle cold and rain just fine. I have stayed dry even in the seems where other rain gear has the issues.
Cons : If you don't size up right outa the gate you will be sending it back. This one really chaps me...NO ZIPPER PULLS! I have normal sized hands for a 6'2 185ish guy but trying to open the pockets without pulls on them are a pain in the butt. I had to purchase pulls for them separately and for a jacket that runs in the $300 plus mark they should have thought of that. The hood : Not to sure its going to fit over any hard hats but whatever I don't wear hard hats. This last one here is kinda stretching the complaints as well here but...the fleece lined interior lining is great for comfort and warmth however when the jacket gets wet trying to slide your arms in/out of the sleeves can be troublesome. They could have put a liner of sorts to assist this problem. Again, I know this is knit-picky but... $300 Plus.
So, all in all I am very happy with this jacket and I do not feel at all that I paid to much for it, just think they missed the mark on a few items here.
