I doubt I’ll ever wear Levi’s again. The best part of 1620’s is the big front pockets, which allow you to keep your phone toward the side of your thigh and actually squat without jabbing your hip. Even my fixed blade fits, concealed. Durability is top tier. The feel is light but strong.
So about the sizing. If you buy the slims, trust me, size up. They’re not skinny jeans, but they are tapered and they have absolutely no stretch. I’m 6’ 185lbs. I’ve always worn 32 or 33 waist. I’ve had two pairs of 32 slims from 1620 for eight months and I’ve worn them almost everywhere, but they are a little tight. So I bought the 33 regular which gave plenty of room in the thighs but I didn’t love all the slack around the calves. Today I received the 34 slims and I could not be happier. Perfect, if you ask me.
Great i love them
when i have these pants on, I feel like i could run through a field a razor blades, dominate any man, and bed any woman. i told my wife not to worry though, cause i don’t want to take the pants off.
my wife said i looked like a character from the matrix when i first got them out, but a few washes later, they look great. the bonus front small pockets are too deep for anyone but a **** salesman, which hurts me to say. i really like deep pockets. the pockets should be shallower or wider at the top. i will probably sew them shallower, which hurts my practical heart.
these pants are a must on a rainy day. they won’t keep you completely dry, but they do dry out super quick and don’t cling to your skin. water proof boots and these pants in the mud are a lot of fun.
i’ve been doing mostly foundation work in clay soil lately and i won’t wash these pants for days and they still feel great every morning.
with dirty or wet or dangerous work, these pants are a tool that help me do a better job.
slim (utility, single, double)
6’3”, 170lbs, 32” x34” true to size
If folks are on here wondering how “skinny” they are, here is my best way to describe the fit. The lower legs are tapered but still loose enough to be comfortable for work. Thigh is a little snugger, along with the pockets, but that may be more related to waist size. I’m a 30” leg, 35” waist. I like the Levi 502 tapered jeans for casual wear with skate shoes, and I wear those in a 30” leg/ 34 waist. I ordered 30” leg 36” waist in these and they are the best fitting work pants I own. I like them a lot but will wear these longer before I buy more to see how the hold up. They are much looser fitting than a Levi 502, for reference, but still more tapered than other work pants. I like the pocket layout a lot, and now my other 5 pocket work pants annoy me since they dont have the same skinny lower pockets.
These run very slim and have much less stretch than you might think. Maybe after they get worn and washed several times they’ll loosen up, but I couldn’t get through a full day of work in them. Hard to squat and bend over in, very tight in the knee and hip. I am 5’10”, 165, have an average build and wear a 32/32. I think if you are exceptionally thin or don’t have to squat or bend over for your job they would be a perfect fit. I love mine in the regular fit and am mostly leaving this to help out future buyers
