Five stars. No notes. Well — one note, but it’s about North Texas, not the jacket.
I’ll keep this simple: this shirt jacket is everything I’ve come to expect from 1620. Same build quality as the utility pants (which, if you know, you know), thoughtfully tailored without being flashy, and the buttons are genuinely satisfying in a way I didn’t expect to have feelings about. It fits well. It just works.
My only complaint is entirely geographic. I live in North Texas, which means this jacket gets maybe two or three months of use per year — and even then, it won’t be consistently cold enough to justify reaching for it every day. That’s not a product problem. That’s a climate problem. I’m not moving, so I’ll just accept that this jacket and I have a long-distance relationship for nine months out of the year.
But when the temperature finally cooperates? It’s my first call. Not too hot, not too cold — just right. Which, for a jacket, is the whole game.
1620 is quietly building a catalog of gear I’d recommend to anyone who actually uses their clothes. The pants are already in the rotation permanently. The shirt jacket earned its spot too. At this rate they’re going to run out of things to make and I’m going to run out of excuses to keep buying them.
Keep it up, y’all. Cheers. 🤙
