Coming from the outdoor and ski apparel industries, 1620 founders Josh Walker and Ted De Innocentis understand the difference that a well made, premium-quality product makes when it comes to performance. It’s the difference between acceptable and exceptional. And in workwear, that difference is even more stark. That’s why Josh and Ted started 1620. Growing up around tradespeople, they saw the effect cheaply made gear had on their friends and relatives. It made them too hot, too uncomfortable, too tired and less focused on the job. With their experience in tech fabrics, and a world-class textile manufacturer in their home state of Massachusetts, they set out to create the first premium quality workwear line. Their mission: to outfit today’s tradesperson with gear that’s worthy of their demanding lifestyle. Gear that lives up to the same standard of excellence as their work.
