The shirt is a 7-ounce NYCO jersey: 1620's own fabric, built for daily wear on the job. NYCO is a nylon-cotton blend, and the version in this shirt is a proprietary heavyweight baselayer fabric exclusive to 1620 Workwear.
Every change in the Heavyweight NYCO Long Sleeve is built around how the shirt gets used on a job site.
Normally, stitching a pencil holster into a pocket sacrifices pocket space, or the ability of a carpenter's pencil to stay put when the wearer bends over. The Heavyweight NYCO Long Sleeve's upgraded oversized chest pocket holds an XL phone beside a new, separate, down-stitched looped fabric slot that holds a pencil or a small tool. It is a new take on the work shirt pocket: full-width use of the pocket, with the pencil or small tool still secured.
The shirt is cut in 1620's Signature Trades Fit, longer in the body than a standard tee, so the torso stays covered when the wearer reaches overhead to hang drywall, run conduit or set trim.
The 7-ounce NYCO jersey is 1620's own fabric, built for daily wear on the job.
