Great work shirt

II love these shirts. They are comfortable abrasion resistant, and look great. I only have two minor issues: items keep falling out of the pockets and the buttons feel a little bit small and can be difficult to button.

So stoked

I’ve waited and waited for these. I had the OG version they made years ago then they moved into the shirt jac. So I was so stoked to see them bring them back.

Wanting a true button down fit I didn’t size up so at 6’ 225 XL is perfect. I’m the type the grew up in the mindset that when you go out you where a button down and same with working. Dam these are sharp as ****, to me the pockets aren’t a big deal for phone or things fallin out but that will happen if that is a concern. The best plus is if you conceal anything on your waist band this fabric doesn’t print and has just the right fitted/loose fit. If you crawl under your truck or in a crawl space I can’t tell you how tough NYCO is. To me the best upgrade is a small soft band in the collar for your neck.

If you’re on the fence with any of their products just give them a try. What 1620 is doin with their philosophy more American company’s should be doing, I work here and would rather support others that do the same not something overseas.

Great shirt, not so great pockets

I stumbled across 1620 in a search for Made in USA work wear. I always start my searches with "Made in USA" and recommend to anyone who cares about this country. OK, that is my soap box for now. Anyway, I am glad I found 1620, now my go to for all work wear. About the shirt: It is great quality, heavy duty and looks great. It is a bit stiff due to the heavy duty fabric, but that is what will protect your body from damage due to heat, cold, sharp things, rough things, etc. So if you want protection, this will give it to you. I have one pet peeve though and that is the pockets. I put things in my pockets at work and bend over frequently during my work, and without a button or flap my things fall out, sometimes into very difficult to access places. Very annoying. Also the pockets should be big enough that I can put my Samsung Galaxy S23+ with case in it. Well, at least buttons or flaps and enough room for a Rite in the Rain. So, 1620, those are my two wishes before I buy another shirt. Also I just bought a long sleeve heavy duty tee. No pocket. So, to sum it up, great work shirt, so 5 stars. But needs pocket upgrades.

I have a closet full of 1620 Gear, including the snap button work shirts and knew I needed a button up as soon as I saw them on the website. The fit is perfect, and I love the NYCO material more than anything I’ve worn, even the super high-tech stuff. I no longer work outside all week, but still put in hard work on my property, and 1620 is the only thing I wear.
