I have multiple foundation regulars (not slim) in rotation. I could make 34” waist work fine. But, I happened to have bought my first pair during summer when my gut was trim and I first bought 32”. Well, I get very positive feedback from women about the fit. Legit attention just because of the 1620s. That’s new, and it’s not me. The cut/design just fits great with a trim waist, held up on the hips with a hurky cobra belt. 1620 inadvertently became my diet/exercise coaches by making me want to hold the 32” waist through the winter (rather than drifting up to 34-35” during winter as I always did for decades). Thanks for the extra motivation. Of course, the fabric, the customer service (Emily!), and everything else with 1620 is just awesome.

Pants wear like iron. Bought my first batch in 2021 and they are still going strong.
They far outlast any other pants I've owned.
And they're made here. Not in some servile labor country.
Only product improvement idea is a metal "bachelor" button for the waist even though the plastic one is sturdy. If one ever fails, then guys could **** or hammer a new one into place.

Could you make a variant that holds color a little longer for off-the-job wear?

Rugged and comfortable. The breathability is a huge plus too.

Just the best work pants I have owned. Durable, good sized pockets and comfortable. Never worry that they will rip or bind. Best of all, I am even told (by my wife) that they look good. Second pair of the Foundation pant (and 4th pair of 1620) and always impressed by the quality.

I recently purchased the white painter foundation pants. Need something less heavy, yet just as strong for summer months and may I say, go out for dinner or drinks. To be honest, I did not purchase these for work...don't know how I would keep the clean. I purchased as a white summer pant, worker mans chic. They wear good and feel good. The fabric is the abrasive resistant as you get in other 1620 apparel. I have noticed the more you wash them they will lose their stiffness and become more "worn in" like your favorite pair of jeans, but still maintain their durability. Very pleased
