The one to rule them all

I started with the softshell and being so stoked with that I didn’t know how they could improve. Well here it is, this for me is the best fitting jacket and just feels like a tank but still light as ****. The cuffs are super thick and that extra fore arm is perfect if you work in **** environments. I love the small hood with the chords which was the only complaint to the softshell. Though I would love zippers on the hand pockets not a deal breaker. Still can’t say enough bout the NYCO material seems to break in the more you wear it. Same with other jackets if you like to layer a hoody underneath I found sizing up worked for me 6’ 225 went to XXL

I’ve been through so many other “work” brands that never really did the job. But this one is my favorite. If you’re on the fence with anything from 1620 just try it. I mean any company that supports blue collar by using labor from the states make me proud to support. I hope that when you look at the price you also remember that you’re paying for fellow Americans. Something more companies should take pride in.

Nice Jacket

I like this jacket a lot, and the sleeves are an acceptable length for my long arms, but they could be an inch longer. Just like the NYCO shirt-jackets, the fit is on the close side of the spectrum, which I like. I am 6'1", 178 pounds and wear a large. If I wanted to layer with something thick, I'd need to go up to an XL. It would have been nice to have a way to snug the cuff with a snap or velcro to prevent cold air blowing up the sleeves, or just make them an inch longer. I've worn this in sub-freezing temperature with a thin long sleeve wool shirt underneath and it was reasonably warm. The pocket layout, hood and quality are all great. I've also worn this with a NYCO vest over the top and that was really warm without being too bulky. I am a big fan of the 1620 NYCO material, and with some minor refinement this jacket could be perfect.

Overall a great jacket but like other reviews there is not enough room in the chest and shoulder area which makes it difficult to layer.
